Does this tell me whether my photo is good?
No, and that is deliberate. It shows you your own photo at the shapes and sizes buyers see, so you can judge it. Any tool that puts a number on how well a photo will sell is guessing — that depends on market data nobody outside Etsy has.
Are my photos uploaded or stored anywhere?
No. The whole tool runs in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device and nothing is saved on our servers.
Why does my photo look different in each shape?
Etsy shows listing photos in more than one crop. A detail sitting near an edge can survive the wide crop and get cut out of the square one. Turn on the safe zone to see the part of your photo that survives every shape.
What is the safe zone?
It is the region of your photo that stays visible in every crop shape at your current framing. Keep the product — and anything a buyer needs to read — inside it, and no crop can cut it off.
Why does the tiny preview matter more than the big one?
Because that is where buyers meet your listing. In search results your photo competes at around a hundred pixels wide. A photo that looks rich at full size can turn into an unreadable smudge in the grid, and you only find that out by looking at it small.
Do I need an Etsy account to use this?
No. You just need the photo on your device. This tool does not connect to Etsy at all.
